Aimone Park was built in 1972 and is located next to Lena Juniper Elementary School. The neighborhood park was named after Earnest Aimone, who was very active in youth sports activities in the community. He and his brother Tee owned the former 'Block S' store on B Street (Victorian Avenue) in downtown Sparks.
