Family Fun on Thanksgiving Day
If you haven't made the Sparks Turkey Trot part of your Thanksgiving tradition, you're really missing out. It's a great place to spend time with family and friends, and a healthy way to start a day usually filled with a whole lot of eating.
Participants can choose from a 2-mile walk or run (non timed) or a 10K (6.2 miles) run (timed). All three races follow the beautiful 2-mile path around the Sparks Marina Park with the 10K event extending into the surrounding neighborhood. Everyone receives a commemorative sweatshirt and post-race refreshments.
Proceeds will benefit Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful to further local beautification projects.
Sparks 11th Annual Turkey Trot is sponsored by Alice 96.5, Reno Gazette-Journal, Sierra Restrooms, Scheels, Snickers Marathon, Save Mart and Western Village Inn & Casino.
