The 2009 Grand Marshal is season two American Idol finalist, Kimberley Locke, who will perform music from her upcoming Christmas CD riding on the Intuit float along the parade route.

Locke has been active in several charities, particularly those that raise awareness of HIV/AIDS and breast cancer.  Kimberley has contributed her time and efforts to the Elizabeth Glazer Pediatric AIDS Foundation, the Davy Foundation and Camp Heartland.  In recognition of her efforts, Kimberley was presented with the Red Ribbon Award.

 

NOTE:  The annual tree lighting ceremony, presented by Intuit, will now be held on Friday, December 4, from 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm in front of the Saint Mary’s Amphitheater on Victorian Avenue. 

On Saturday, December 5,  the 23rd Annual Sparks Hometowne Christmas parade, presented by Intuit, will travel from east to west on Victorian Avenue and run from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.

To participate in the Hometowne Christmas parade, please download and submit the Parade Application.  DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 12.
