On 10-01-1987 at 1600hrs the Reno Police Department took a missing person report on Leslie Ellen Quincey from George Riley Brooks.  At the time of her disappearance Quincey lived with Brooks at 3985 Lisa Court # C in Reno and she worked at the Western Village Casino in Sparks.  According to Brooks, Quincey had not returned home from work the previous night.  Neither Quincey nor her vehicle would be located for nearly a week.

On 10-07-1987 a Sparks Police Officer located Quincey's vehicle, a Light Blue 1968 Buick Skylark 4door bearing Nevada license 641CCT at Shakey's Pizza at 1955 Oddie Blvd.  The vehicle was backed into a stall on the East side of the business.  Quincey was found deceased in the trunk of the vehicle and it was apparent she had been in the trunk for some time.  Quincey was wearing black pants, a long sleeve blue, green and grey plaid shirt and black shoes.  An autopsy was performed and it was determined she died from multiple stab wounds.  A combined investigation was done by the Sparks and Reno Police Department Detective Divisions in 1987.   No arrest was made.

In 2008 Detectives from the Sparks Police Department began investigating this case again.  George Brooks was the primary suspect in this case in 1987 and the current investigators have focused the investigation on Brooks as well.  Over the last year contact was made with the witnesses, detectives and suspects involved in the case in 1987.  They were all re-interviewed and a substantial amount of information and evidence has come to light in the most recent investigation due to advances in DNA and technology.   The current investigators have travelled to several cities and states in the Continental United States conducting follow-up, eliminating suspects and condensing the focus of the investigation.

No new evidence has brought another person of interest to light.
