In-Court Arraignments

Court arraignments are the initial court appearance of the defendant who is then advised of his/her constitutional rights and advised of the alleged charges. The defendant must enter a plea of "guilty", "not guilty" or "no contest."

Check-in for arraignments is between 7:30 and 7:59 a.m., Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Court arraignments begin daily at 8:00 a.m. It is estimated that 90% of all defendants enter a plea of "guilty" or "no contest" at arraignment and are sentenced immediately in-court.
