CITY CLERK'S OFFICE

 
The City Clerk performs various duties as required by the Nevada Revised Statutes, City Charter and City Ordinances.

These duties include the following:

  • Works with the City Manager to ensure that the City Council has timely and accurate information upon which to base its decisions.
  • Prepares, posts and distributes the meeting agendas and minutes for the City Council and Redevelopment Agency as well as various boards and committees.
  • Handles correspondence relating to actions taken by the City Council and Redevelopment Agency.
  • Administers contracts and retains other documents relating to actions taken by the governing bodies.
  • Provides public information, public assistance, research and records management.
  • Conducts City elections
