SPRING CLEANING ALREADY? ANNUAL CLEAN SWEEP IS UNDERWAY - Look for voucher in March water bill
Sparks, NV – It's hard to believe, but spring is a month away!
Sparks annual "Clean Sweep" kicks off March 15 through April 30, 2008. Residents in the City of Sparks will receive a voucher in their Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA) March water bill for a free dump of trash and garbage courtesy of Waste Management and the City of Sparks.
"This is a great opportunity for Sparks residents to clean up their garages and yards and dispose of any junk and other trash," said City Manager Shaun Carey. "We sponsor the clean sweep annually to help keep our neighborhoods and community clean and beautiful for all of our citizens and visitors to enjoy, so watch for those vouchers in March and put them to good use," he said.
The voucher is good for one free dump of household items and other waste from March 15 through April 30. Residents can take trash, garbage or other items for disposal to either Waste Management's Reno Transfer Station (1390 E. Commercial Row) or the Lockwood Landfill (I-80 East to the Mustang Exit).
Items not accepted include: bricks, chemicals, dirt, engine oils, rocks, sod, hazardous or commercial waste. Paint acceptable only if cans have been opened and paints dried out. Only two tires allowed.
